Yves Edwards vs Isaac Vallie-Flagg

Round 1: Isaac Vallie-Flag starts out coming forward aggressively, which could cause trouble against a wily vet like Yves Edwards. Ike lands a bodyshot and a left hook. Ike lands a leg kick. The fighters clinch, then break. Yve lands a left to the body. Ike comes in with an uppercut and Yves lands a jab. Yves lands a bodyshot. Ike is coming forward and lands a right. The fighters clinch and Ike lands a knee. Another knee by Ike.
The fighters break and Yves lands a glancing head kick. Yves lands a leg kick. Bodykick by Yves. Ike lands a straight right. Ike is really aggressive and winning the round so far. Ike comes with a superman punch and Yves clinches up. Big uppercut from Ike. Leg kick and bodykick from Yves. Ike grabs his leg, but Yves lands a knee while Ike holds on to the single.
The fighters clinch up and hang against the cage, then break. Yves throws a big kick, which is blocked. Ike comes forward thoriwng bombs and lands a big bodyshot. [[MORE]]

Round 2: Ike lands a right hand. Yves lands a leg kick. The fighters clinch and Ike pushes Yves against the cage. Ike punches Yves to the body from the clinch. Fighters break. Both fighters land rights. Ike goes for a spinning backfist. Ike rips bodyshots in the clinch and finishes with an upppercut as the fighters break.
Stiff jab from Yves. (editor’s note: nice.) Yves landing punches. Ike lands a pair of punches and then shoves Yves against the cage. Yves gets a trip and is on top with two and a half minutes left to work in the half guard. Yves steps through the guard and is in side control with two minutes left to work. He’s got great position. Yves gets back on to the full mount with a minute-thirty left. Ike gives up his back and Yves has him wrapped up with a minute left to go. Ike is defending pretty well and there are only thirty seconds left. Time runs out.

Round 3: Ike lands a kick. Leg kick by Yves. Another big leg kick from Yves. Ike lands a right. Another right by Ike, but Yves counters. Ike pushing forward, and landing a few punches. Ike lands a leg kick. Ike still coming forward and Yves is making him miss for the most part, but Yves isn’t putting up much offense of his own.
Yves lands a knee. Ike pushes Yves against the cage Yves needs to push the action a little bit. The judges don’t want to see a guy moving backwards for the whole fight, and I’ve got it tied at this point. Slow dance on the cage, but Yves gets out. Yves landes some nice punches as Ike looks really tired, but Ike keeps coming forward. Yves needs to start punching more.
Ike lands a nice knee. Can’t believe the low output from Yves. Yves shoots with two minutes left, but Ike stuffs it. Yves is tired and Ike just keeps coming. He’s grinding. Ike pushes Yves against the cage. Yves gets away and lands a body kick. Yves lands a nice counterpunch, but Ike lands a bodyshot. Ike is trying to finish the fight with a minute and a half left and Yves is just trying to hang in there.
Yves is out of gas. Ike is working the bodyshots. Yves gets separation. Ike keeps coming forward and is looking to win the fight. Ike is pouring it on the tired Yves Edwards. Yves lands a nice punch, but that’s it.
Pretty clear 29-28 fight for Vallie-Flagg. Uh, spoke too soon I guess. One just went for 29-28 Edwards, but Vallie-Flagg still took the split decision.
