UFC on Fox 10 Live: Darren Elkins vs. Jeremy Stephens

Round 1: Jeremy Stephens is really winding up his punches. Leg kick lands for Stephens. Darren Elkins needs to start rasslin’ him ASAP. Elkins shoots half-heartedly. Stephens lands an uppercut. Leg kick from Stephens. Uppercut from Stephens just misses. Elkins shoots and doesn’t even catch a leg. Elkins kicks, Stephens catches it and puts Elkins on his back. Big elbow from the top position by Stephens, who steps away.

A pair of punches lands for Stephens. Elkins shoots a single, gets stuffed. He tries for another takedown, that’s also frustrated. Big uppercut from Stephens. Elkins is cut a little bit. Elkins comes in and eats another uppercut. Right lands for Stephens. Kick to the body from Stephens.

Round 2: Elkins walks into a left; he’s really wobbled and retreating. Elkins lands a kick to the body. Stephens lands a glancing head kick. Elkins lands a left. Elkins shoots, Stephens defends well. Stephens lands a right hook to the body. Big right from Stephens. Left lands for Stephens. Stephens lands a left to the body. Stephens lands a left on Elkins coming in. Elkins shoots a single, Stephens stuffs it and they go back to striking.

Stephens lands a hard leg kick. Elkins lands a right. Elkins lands another right without much behind it. Left by Elkins. Stephens kicks Elkins’ arm. Right uppercut lands for Stephens. Elkins shoots, Stephens punches him in the face.  uperman punch lands for Elkins. Kick to the body lands for Elkins. Kick to the body lands for Stephens. Huge uppercut for Stephens. Elkins’ face is pretty busted up, but he can sure take a shot.

Another left lands for Stephens. Head kick for Stephens. Stephens lands a pair of punches at the bell.

Round 3: Left from Stephens. Elkins kicks, Stephens takes him down and falls into a guillotine. Why would Stephens go to the ground here?Stephens is out and they’re standing. Stephens lands a kick and Elkins goes for another takedown attempt, which fails. Big pair of punches land for Jeremy Stephens. Leg kick for Stephens.  Stephens whiffs on a head kick. Right hand lands for Elkins. Left lands for Stephens. Right lands for Elkins.

Jab from Stephens. I think it was his first. Right lands for Stephens. Leg kick for Stephens. Right lands for Stephens. Elkins goes for a choke, he doesn’t get it. Stephens is out, Elkins puts another guillotine on him, but Stephens waits out the bell.
