UFC on Fox 10 Live: Alex Caceres vs Sergio Pettis

Sergio Pettis is the 20-year-old brother of UFC lightweight champ Anthony Pettis, who is cornering him tonight. Alex Caceres is an alum of The Ultimate Fighter. Sergio didn’t look too good in his last fight, and seems small here. Live updates after the jump:[[MORE]]

Round 1: Caceres lands a leg kick. Right by Sergio. Leg kick by Sergio. Spinning backfist by Alex is blocked. Pettis coming foward, Ceceres retreating. Caceres lands a kick to the body. Left lands for Pettis. Pettis catches a kick then lands a punch. Leg kick by Pettis. Pettis lands a superman punch. Sergio lands a punch. Caceres lands a leg kick.

Pettis just misses with a head kick, then eats a jab. Head kick by Pettis is blocked. Leg kick lands for Caceres. Big kick by Pettis catches Caceres. Caceres comes in and eats a right. Leg kick by Pettis. Left lands for Pettis. Spinkick for Caceres doesn’t land. Pettis lands a right hand. Pettis lands a left. Caceres lands a left. Pettis lands a right, then a head kick from in close. Another head kick from Pettis. A pair of punches land for Sergio, but he misses the next head kick. Caceres lands a weak spinning backfist.

10-9 Pettis. Looking good so far.

Round 2: Caceres stalking. Caceres lands a big right that rocks Pettis, who grabs a leg while he regains his wits. Pettis is bleeding. Caceres is on top now, but Sergio gets him off and is back on the feet. Right lands for Sergio. Big right lands for Sergio. Kick to the body by Pettis. Right lands for Pettis. Kick lands for Pettis. Kick to the body by Caceres. Caceres lands another right. Kick to the body from Caceres. Kick to the face by Pettis.

Right by Pettis. Kick to the body by Pettis. Pettis just misses with a kick. Kick to the body by Pettis. Leg kick by Pettis. Pettis whiffs on a superman punch. Both fighters miss kicks.

Round 3: Caceres moving forward with kicks. Head kick blocked by Pettis. Kick to the face from Caceres lands, but Pettis gets a takedown. Caceres gets back up. Pettis kicks him in the face. Caceres goes for a kimura, but Pettis rolls out of it. Caceres misses a side kick and eats an uppercut. Uppercut by Pettis lands. Pettis goes for another head kick and falls.

Caceres on top and the fighters battle for position. Sergio stands. The fighters exchange punches. Push kick from Caceres. Caceres throws a 360 leg kick. Sergio lands a punch that looks like it hurt Caceres, but Caceres keeps right on throwing. Sergio works for the takedown and eneds up on the bottom with a little less than a minute left.

Sergio goes for a leglock. Joe Rogan always seems to say that leglocks are bad, but Pettis is out in a second. Caceres lands some punches from the top, Pettis gives up his back and Caceres chokes him out. Pretty big setback for the 20-year-old.
