UFC 160 Undercard: Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Abel Trujillo

Round 1: Abel Trujillo throws with bad intentions, but doesn’t land. Abel lands a left hand. Abel shoots and eats a left, but gets the takedown. Khabib Nurmagomedov is looking for an armbar, but Abel is on top and lands a knee to the body. Khabib is up and has Abel’s back. He slams Abel. Trujillo gets up, and gets slammed again.

Abel gets up. Khabib is just manhandling him. Sambo bros mean business. Nice knee from the back by Khabib. Khabib drags Abel down to the ground. Abel reverses in the scramble and is in Khabib’s dangerous guard. Abel is stuck in a triangle, but there are only thirty seconds left. Khabib goes for an arm, locks the triangle back in, but runs out of time.

Round 2: Khabib lands a pair of punches and gets on Abel’s back. he trips Abel, but he spins out of it and lands a punch. Massive right by Khabib, then another. Khabib gets on the back again and trips Abel. Khabib landing punches and knees to the body from behind.

Abel is able to get up. He takes another knee, then Khabib pulls Abel down and jumps on his back; he has Abel flattened out. Abel is able to get back up. Khabib puts him back down on the ground. Trujillo looks tired. The Russian has been throwing him around.  Abel rolls out and lands a punch and a knee as Khabib stands. Khabib drags him down again to his back.

Abel is able to get back to his feet, but gets pulled down again. Khabib is landing some nice punches from behind.  is bro in his corner is taking a picture with his iPhone.

Round 3: Abel comes in, Khabib clinches him up and pulls him to the ground. Abel is up. Khabib puts him back down. Abel goes up. Khabib puts him back down. Abel’s up. Khabib puts him back down.

Khabib lands a knee to the body. He picks Abel up and puts him down again. Abel stands up again and is complaining to the ref. Khabib is in his guard landing an elbow. Abel does not have the foggiest idea how to grapple.  Khabib is stifling him.  Yamasaki is threatening to stand thenm up. Abel gets up. BAM! Khabib slams him back down again.

Abel up. Khabib takes him down again. I think Khabib is probably setting a takedown record right now. Referee Yamasaki is straight up allowing Abel to grab the fence now, but Khabib still takes his ass down. Another massive slam by Khabib. Abel gets back up, but gets slammed again.

Judges all see it 30-27 for Khabib.
