UFC 158 Preview: Nick Diaz is Fighting Tomorrow, Get Pumped

People either love Nick Diaz or hate him.

It depends on whether you find his ridiculous antics highly entertaining, or completely foolish. We fall into the former camp. As far as I’m concerned, Nick Diaz is practically a folk hero, like Davey Crockett hat bro who was stealing airplanes with no shoes on a while back.

I know that Nick Diaz is coming off a loss, a reefer suspension, and doesn’t deserve this fight. Another guy on the card, Johny Hendricks, is way more deserving of a title shot, but I’m still completely pumped for the fight. Everyone is saying Georges is really cheesed off this time and isn’t going to do his standard jab-and-top control special. That’s doubtful. The most likely outcome of this fight is five rounds of quick takedowns followed by elbows to the face. While that’s what all the pundits are predicting, the only way I picture happening in this fight is Nick Diaz beating the shit out of St. Pierre. Don’t listen to me though, I also thought Nate Diaz was going to beat the shit out of Ben Henderson.

Nick has never faced anyone as good as Georges, and Georges is going to have a huge strength advantage, similar to the one Ben Henderson had over Diaz’s brother. Anyway the top three fights on this card are great and the main event should be spectacular. Can’t wait for tomorrow.
