UFC 157 Recap: Facebook Prelims

I really wish they’d just show these fights on Fuel or FX or something. I hate watching fights on the fucking Facebook. They track me and then serve me up fighting advertisements when I’m at work. Fuck you Zuckerberg. They have them on Youtube as well, but the feed wasn’t working for me this time.
Nah-Shon Burrell vs. Yuri Villefort: Really exciting fight from two young prospects. Nah-Shon came in like five pounds overweight and looked way stronger than Yuri, which is usually the case when a guy gets a free pas into a lower weight class. Nah-Shon had way more pop behind his punches and won a clear decision. Unanimous decision for Nah-Shon- 30-27 (twice) and 29-28.
Neil Magny vs. John Manly: This one’s not getting patched into the live broadcast. Not the most exciting fight, but Magny was the better man. Manly wore himself out after working too hard for a takedown in the first. Magny by decision 30-27 (twice) 29-28.
Kenny Robertson vs. Brock Jardine: Kenny Robertson looked ridiculously slick on the ground, finishing Brock Jardine with a move that I’ve never seen before. Basically he got a body triangle locked in and then pulled Brock’s leg forward like he was trying to tear his hamstring. I guess that’s some sort of kneebar variant. Anyway, great quick submission that you’ll probably see plugged into the live telecast at some point.
