UFC 150 Live: Yushin Okami vs Buddy Roberts

Buddy Roberts is an injury replacement. Biggest underdog on the card tonight. Yushin Okami is a beast, but coming off two straight losses. One to Anderson Silva and a second to Tim Boetsch, who had a ridiculous comeback after getting his ass kicked for two rounds.
They often say that Japanese fighters have trouble with jetlag. In this case it is going to be be jetlag and dealing with the altitude. Yushin’s been fighting in Oregon with Chael Sonnen though, so maybe he’s coming from the States. Roberts should be overmatched here. Live updates after the jump:[[MORE]]
Round 1: Buddy is coming forward throwing a lot of punches. He’s getting the better of Okami in the striking so far. Okami lands a left. Buddy lands a big left hook. Buddy with another jab. Buddy with a knee to the body. Yushin is working the body lock and is trying to take Roberts down, but Roberts is defending nicely.
Yushin finally drags Roberts to the ground and has his back; now he’s on top of Roberts. Roberts goes for the omoplata, but doesn’t have shit and now has Okami in his guard. Yushin is working and gets side control with one minute left to work. Yushin is not doing any damage. Okami gets a full mount with thirty seconds left. Buddy rolls over and turtles up, he’s getting popped nonstop. Okami unloads a flurry of punches as the round ends.
Round 2: Roberts wobbled there, looks like he just slipped. Roberts lands a big left hand. Okami ties Buddy up and drags him to the ground. Buddy tries to lock in a guillotine, but loses it when he changes the grip. Buddy works to the feet, but Yushin gets him back down on the ground. Yushin is on top and again not doing a ton of damage, but is working to get his leg out.
Yushin works to the full mount with 2:45 left. Buddy gives up his back. He’s not going to make it through again turtled up with two minutes left and Yushin popping him. The ref is going to end this shit. He’s got to. Referee Herb Dean ends it.
