UFC 143 Live: Ed Herman vs Clifford Starks

Round 1-Ed Herman’s landing some bombs early on. These guys are all offense. It won’t last long if it keeps going like this. Clifford Starks pushes Herman against the cage. Starks lands a right, biggest punch of the fight so far. Starks is landing some nice punches.

Herman pushes Clifford against the cage and lands a few knees in the clinch. Herman throws a few more uppercuts. Clifford has Ed up against the fence again. Herman lands a flying knee-uppercut combo. Clifford lands another big right. Herman scores the takedown with a minute to spare in half guard.

Clifford looks uncomfortable and tries to flip over. Starks flips Herman over and he’s in a full guard. Herman is landing elbows from the bottom and goes for an armbar just as the round ends.

10-9 Starks. The round was close, but he was in control for more of it and landed some really clean punches.

Round 2-Herman’s left eye looks like crap, it’s closing up. Starks punches it. Herman goes for a leg kick and falls, but he’s able to stand back up. Clifford pushes Herman against the fence. Herman gets a nice sweep, right into full mount with plenty of time to work. Herman has his back and sinks the rear naked choke. What a nice takedown, it was a really violent trip. Before Starks had his wits about him, Herman had him mounted.
