UFC 140 Prelims: Dennis Hallman vs John Makdessi

Dennis Hallman forfeited 20 percent of his purse for failing to make weight.

Round 1-Hallman shoots and shoves Makdessi against the cage. Makdessi is remonstrated for grabbing the fence twice before Hallman drags him to the ground. Makdessi does not have the foggiest idea what to do on the ground and Hallman takes his back with two underhooks and four minutes to work.

Makdessi is turtled and is getting popped in the head. Hallman is trying to work a choke, but Makdessi turned around and is now mounted with a ground and pound. Makdessi gives up his back again and is submitted via rear naked choke.

Hallman wins by the submission.
