Deeney remembers where he comes from too, having last week bought 20 coats for the first team of his former club Chelmsley Town to give the non-League side a professional look.
“If I can play for England I will be the proudest man in the country,” Deeney said. “But my aim is to be playing at a high level week in and week out for Watford. If Mr Hodgson decides to put me in the England team, then I will be happy.
