Todd Duffee v. Alistair Overeem

Ariel Helwani is reporting Todd Duffee, who was released by UFC (for being knocked out by a fat man with a broken arm and having a bad attitude) is going to be fighting Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion Alistair Overeem in Japan on New Years Eve.

The Champ is coming off of a lopsided victory over Brett Rogers in Strikeforce in May the last time he was in the cage.  More recently, he won the K-1 Grand Prix on December 11, 2010.  Apparently fresh after shellacking three different kickboxers on the same day to take the title, Overeem will be the heavy favorite but Duffee has a puncher’s chance as he showed in his seven second knockout of the world’s toughest kindergarten teacher Tim Hague in 2009.
