Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix

Live from the IZOD center.  Looks like they are going to introduce everyone in the Grand Prix.

Everyone’s favorite tire technician Brett Rogers starts it off, the unlicensable Josh Barnett, looking like a haggard mountain man, Werdum, Overeem the biggest juicer in sports, Sergei Kharatinov, who beat Overeem before he got really really big, Andrei “three embarrassing losses in a row” Arlovski, Silva and Fedor.

They’re all wearing ghetto varsity jackets and Bigfoot is wearing white batting gloves or something. Now they’re shooting off fireworks and playing some sort of arabic guitar music. Fedor looks totally bored.

Whoa Gus Johnson is wearing a black shirt and a purple tie, maybe a black sportscoat as well, hard to tell, but he looks like a total idiot. Maura Ranallo is talking about Fedor’s victory over Kevin Randleman.  Yeah, that was seven years ago and was, “indelibly etched in the minds of those who saw it."

They are really hyping this card.  Not too impressed by the talent in this thing.  You get the feeling that if these guys fought in the UFC, they would be out of the heavyweight top 10 pretty quickly.  Announcers have a very tough time with Kharitonov’s name.

Apparently Frank Shamrock a legend.  Probably because he keeps saying he is a legend.  His terrible adult braces are legendary because it seems like he has had them forever.  He should fire his orthodontist.
