Sonya Lamonakis vs. Tanzee Daniel

MASHANTUCKET, Conn.—Heavyweight ladies bout. This should be good. Tanzee comes out to “Them Bones” by Alice in Chains. Lemanokis comes out to some sort of dance version of “More Than a Feeling.” Very shiny outfits for both ladies. Tanzee in silver Sonya in metallic pink.  Massive contingent of fans for the Greek waving the blue and white.

Round 1-The females come out swinging. Motherfuckingladyslugfest. They are literally just standing face to face and swinging. I don’t know who took that one cuz some knucklehead in tapout gear was standing up through the whole thing.

Round 2-The Greek has Tanzee in the corner and is beating her up. Both fighters look exhausted.  The Greek has better conditioning though and keeps punching. Greek won that one for sure.

Round 3-Tanzee is just absorbing damage. Looks like TD got away with an uppercut to the vagina right there, but the ref didn’t see it. I don’t really know much about what ladies wear to protect their junk, but hopefully she’s wearing a chastity belt or something like that. Another round for the Greek.

Round 4-Sonya is punishing Tanzee. Nice straight right. The Greeks have come out in force for her despite the dire economic conditions in their home country and are chanting her name loudly.

Round 5- Tanzee starts the round more active, but Sonya takes control again.  Tanzee seems to be having trouble keeping her hands up, but she’s still punching.

Round 6-Final round here. Sonya is chasing Tanzee around the ring but then gets backed into the corner. Tanzee is really trying to win this and scores a huge right hook to the face. Fighters clinch and are separated.

Fighters are now moving in slow motion, both exhausted and Sonya falls through the ropes. Ref pulls her out. I think Tanzee took that one. I don’t know what happened in the first, so this could be a close decision.

Two judges score it 59-55 and one 58-56, all for Sonya.
