Rockin' Steady Tuesdays.

CLYDE’S WARDROBE STATS

(Based on latest change: Complete turnover every two-three years.)

(Excluding those in rear of my three closes waiting for exportation to family, friends, Harlem boys’ organizations.)

1 green cowskin (with light green “x” - pattern stitching on collar, sleve-ends, pockets and jacket hem.)

1 black cowskin, with poncho and silver studs.

3 lambskins: black, tan and baby blue.

(Once I didn’t have pockets for use anywhere on my suit. It was a trip getting used to. I bounced around with my money in a Puma bag and carrier it over my shoulder. When I was really steppin’ out, I’d give the money to the girl I was with; but that’s risky. That’s why I have inside pockets made in my jackets now.)

I usually wear pants from my suits even if I’m not wearing the jacket when I’m casual.

A couple closet highlights: 1 antelope; 1 deerskin.

Also, kickarounds, about 10 pair: jeans and corduroys.

Highlight: Maroon cords with UFO patch on backside.

All suit jackets can be used as sport jackets.

(Always in transition, hard to pick exact number because they are comin-on order or at a moment’s notice when I walk out of the house- or going to friends, etc.)

Dress shirts, to order, about 35.

Closet highlights: solid chocolate brown French voile with white pearl buttons. Five buttons in each sleeve.

Black Swiss voile with gray yoke, cuffs, buttons.

Pink English cottong with white sleeves, collar, cuffs, pocket flaps.

Don’t have any now. Ties aren’t in style. And turtle-necks are acceptable almost everywhere. But when guys are going dapper for the night they’ll still say they’re knottin’ up.

Heels are usually between 2 inches and 2 ½ inches.

Loafers, maybe 30: lace-ups, about 20.

Pink with a blue (matches my baby blue lambskin suit); a beige and cream; a dark brown and a green; a grown with a white.

1 pair brown cowboy boots (worn once- I’m keeping them until I hire two men to help me take them off whenever I wear them.)

1 pair brown python-skin with gray suide around edges.

1 dark brown leather with wide brass buckle with “Clyde” in script on it.

2 orgy belts, one white with brown and black figures and one black with and brown figures.
