Random Thoughts from UFC 162

1. We’re still in shock from Anderson Silva’s loss. I’d love to see a rematch where Silva keeps his hands up and doesn’t act like a fool.

2. Great to see that Chris Weidman is going to get a solid payday after being paid $24,000 to show up tonight.

3. Frankie Edgar looked okay, but he’s made for five rounders. He really didn’t start to look like he was totally in control until the third.

4. Mike Pierce is really good and needs to be on regular television instead of these clowns from TUF Smashes.

5. Denis Siver looked good. Cub Swanson looked ridiculously good.

6. It’s lucky Cub Swanson stopped punching Denis Siver, because referee Herb Dean looked like he was going to let it go on until Siver’s brains were liquified.

7. Kim Winslow shouldn’t be allowed to officiate heavyweights. Gabriel Gonzaga barely even noticed her trying to pull him off of Pee Wee Herman.

8. Mark Munoz looked like he was in top form again after ballooning to 260 pounds. Good to see him back.

9. Silva needs to ditch Usher and get back with Steven Seagal.

10. Roger Gracie remains one dimensional. He needs to improve his striking to be able to defeat top level competition.
