Tim Boetsch

Round 1-Tim Boetsch throws a kick, ring catches it and wrangles him to the ground. Ring delivering knees to the shoulder of a grounded opponent, going to have to be very careful not to land an illegal strike to the head. Not much else happens for a while.  Ring catches Boetsch in the left eye with a right. Ms. Octagon heated up some bagel bites with pepperoni.  Whoever invented these things should win a Nobel Prize. Ring 10-9.

Round 2-Boetsch chasing Ring and connects with a right. Boetsch lands another nice right. Boetsch landed with another large right and Ring is hurt. Fighters clench on the cage, Ring throws a high knee and is taken down. He is able to work back up. Boetsch sinks a guillotine while standing and pulls ring back down to the mat. Ring pulls his head down and is in Boetsch’s gaurd.

Boetsch works back to his feet. Lands a hard left hook. Boetsch is landing a lot of rights.  boetsch is imposing his will chasing Ring around the ring. Boetsch with another takedown and trying to get a kimura with 8 seconds left. Not happening. Round ends, nice one for Boetsch. 10-9 Boetsch, should be a competitive third round.

Round 3-Boetsch lands a nice left hook and a knee. Pushes Ring against the cage. Boetsch looks much much bigger and stronger than Ring. Foot stomps against the cage. Yamasaki gets bored and splits them up. Boetsch is ligerally just standing in close and punching Ring in the head. They’re up against the cage again and Boetsch trips Ring. Covering Ring’s moth, but not landing anything. If he can ride this shit out for the next two minutes, he’ll win the fight, but hopefully Yamasaki will stand them up.

Damn. Boetsch should have worked a little more there to avoid the standup. Boetsch just landed another right. Boetsch just landed a really dope judo throw and flipped Ring right into the crucifix position, teeing off. Ring is trying to get out of it, looks like Boetsch is about to sink an anaconda choke, but lets it go. Boetsch has a full mount, but Ring rolls and Boetsch is back to the crucifix landing strikes to the body as the round ends. .

10-9 for the Barbarian. We score it 29-28 Boetsch.

Two judges agree. The other gave (30-27) gave Boetsch the first as well. Boetsch looked strong, but would have liked to see him use one of his dominant position to end it.
