Two of Cesar Gracie’s guys are fighting.  Probably hard to find a corner man who isn’t completely baked. Nate Diaz is involved, so we’re obviously rooting for him. Josh Thompson is tough though, coming off a close decision loss against Gilbert Melendez that many thought that he won.

I’m thinking he won’t have trouble transitioning from a six-sided cage to an eight-sided cage. Clownass Beltran is the ref. Live updates after the jump:[[MORE]]

Round 1: Thompson whiffs on a leg kick. Diaz begins taunting. Classic Diaz brothers tactic. Fox probably has this on a tape delay in case there are any middle fingers coming out at the start of round 2.

Diaz eating leg kicks, following Thompson around trying to punch him. Thompson lands a leg kick. Diaz coming forward. Leg punch from Thompson. Head kick from Thompson woke Diaz up. Diaz with more taunting, he’s coming forward punching. Taunting. Another head kick from Thompson lands, but Diaz ignores it. Thompson with a leg kick.

Diaz coming forward punching. Thompson is retreating. Diaz clinches and  works the body. The fighters separate. Diaz on offense,  clear punch to the back of the head from Thompson. The ref is too busy keeping track of his moustachio to care. Diaz coming forward, Thompson retreating. Thompson gets off a nice right when Diaz comes in. Thompson gets a takedown late in the round and is working the ground and pound. Diaz gets back up to his feet, comes out with more taunting.

Thompson is doing his best Carlos Condit impersonation. Moving backward, but his striking is crisp. 10-9 for Thompson.

Round 2: Diaz swarming and punching, but ends up in the clinch. He knees Thompson low. Diaz said he didn’t hit him. Replay shows it might have been a little high, but definitely in the penile region. Diaz taunting, Thompson ends up clinched against the cage. Diaz turns him around.  Thompson working for the takedown.

The fighters start trading blows. Diaz lands better, but is bleeding from his face. Josh clinches up with him and Diaz puts him down. Diaz is following Thompson around the ring taunting him. Thompson lands a little better when Diaz gets in close. Diaz is cut bad. He takes a leg kick.

Diaz and Thompson are clinched. Thompson lands a nice knee and pushes him off. Thompson is clinching. Thompson lands another leg kick and Diaz is concussed as hell. Thompson swarms and Diaz is out; his corner literally throws in the towel.

Josh Thompson by second round TKO. The Diaz bros really have a hard time when an opponent isn’t willing to fight their fight.
