Miesha Tate vs. Ronda Rousey

They have a promo for the upcoming Josh Barnett Daniel Cormier fight.  Barnett is goofing around as usual say that Bigfoot has a donkey butt or something like that and is mocking Cormier’s dancing.  Should be a good fight.

The champ is a well-rounded fighter, but Ronda is fucking dope at getting armbars.  She pretty much won her bronze medal with ultra-speedy armbars, which are a component of women’s judo, but from what I hear, they stand you up pretty quickly so you have to sink it really fast to score. Rousey has had seven wins, all by armbar, and the longest it has taken her to get it is 57 seconds.  Terrifying. Not touching gloves.  These bitches hate each other.

Round 1- Miesha comes out swinging, but Ronda grabbed her already.  Rousey to side control.  Ronda gets off and back on again.  Landing hammerfists.  There’s the armbar, but Miesha isn’t tapping.  Ronda gets up and has Rousey’s back.  Ronda fights to her feet, tries to slam out of it, but Miesha still has her back and is going for the rear naked.  Ronda stands up and is on top as Tate is on her back.  Tate gets up and grabs Ronda, who trips Miesha and pushes off.  They break apart and Rousey lands.  Tate just landed two right there, but Rousey grabs her and flips her in a perfect hip toss.  Rousey passes guard beautifully.  Rousey postures up and is hammering Miesha from the top position.  Champ goes to her back and Rousey goes for the arm and she has it and it is backwards and that shit is totally broken.  Wow! That was the best round of ladyfighting that I’ve ever seen.  Tate looked better than I thought, and almost lasted a whole round before Ronda snapped her arm backwards.

Ronda’s standup was surprisingly good.  Very technical wrestling from both women.  One of the first times I’ve seen a women’s fight that was on par with a high-level men’s fight.  The previous women’s fight wasn’t bad either, but a bit of a sloppy slugfest.  Either way it was a good day for the women’s bantamweight division.

They’re not letting Tate stand up.  Pat Miletich says, “That arm is going to be trashed for a while.” They just showed the replay in slow motion and it was excruciating.  The ref really could have stepped in a little sooner there.  I mean it was literally 90 degrees hyperextended.

Ronda on Tate “I don’t feel that bad about it."  Ronda is talking a lot of shit even after breaking this poor girl’s arm off.  Miesha says her arm is "a little sore."  If that shit happened to my arm, I would be screaming bloody murder.  One tough woman.
