McGregor destroys Siver in two. Boston judges terrible as usual.

The UFC got what they wanted as Conor McGregor demolished the hand-picked Denis Siver in two rounds.  The UFC has decided not to risk making piles of money by matching Conor up against someone like Frankie Edgar (or any other wrestler) prior to getting the title shot.  McGregor looked bored as he picked Siver apart.  Siver couldn’t reach McGregor, who did a great job controlling the distance and looked really impressive.

After the fight, Conor ran into the crowd to do his trademark insane Irishman scream at Jose Aldo.  Aldo didn’t look particularly bothered and said after the fight that he’s pumped for the fight.  Fight should be happening in a giant soccer stadium in Ireland if the rumors are to be believed.

Benson Henderson lost a decision to Cowboy Cerrone that I was certain he won.  Odd to see him on the wrong end of a decision, but the judges in Boston are notoriously bad.  I love Cerrone and was pulling for him, but I did not think he came close to winning that one.

Cathal Pendred also got the benefit of two 30-27 cards in a fight he clearly lost.
