Maximo Blanco vs Pat Healy

Maximo Blanco (right) is a former King of Pancrase. Never seen Pat Healy before, but he is way bigger than Blanco. Round-by-round updates after the jump:

Round 1-Blanco lands a leg kick and knocks Healy off his feet. Landing shots from the top while he tries to pull his other leg out. Healy is able to stand. Blanco is landing some big shots and Healy grabs a leg on his way to the ground. Blanco is on top and is landing a lot of shots. Healy is using his long legs to try to sink a tringle or an arm bar or something.

Healy goes for the heel hook. Blanco kicks him in the face repeatedly. The ref stops the action. Illegal kicks to the head of a  downed opponent. Apparently they’re illegal even when both fighters are on the ground. The point of the rule is really to prevent soccer kicks, but whatever. Blanco has a point deducted.

Blanco comes out swinging. Healy gets a takedown and is able to land hammer fists.  Bad position for Blanco, but he’s saved by the bell. That round was a tie after the deduction.

Round 2-Slow spinning backfist by Blanco. Blanco walks into a right and gets knocked down. He pops back up, but Healy gets his back. Healy going for the rear naked choke and Blanco rolls out of it and gets back to the feet. Healy goes for a big knee and falls down. Blanco looks tired. Healy pressing on.

Blanco on his hands and knees against the fence and Healy is landing shots looking for a choke. Blanco stands up with a minute to go, but Healy slams him back to the ground. Has his legs wrapped on Blanco’s arms and rolls him into another rear naked choke. Not sure if he has enough leverage as he doesn’t have a body triangle, but Blanco taps out anyhow.
