Max Holloway vs Pat Schilling

Round 1: Pat Schilling pushes Max Holloway against the cage, goes for a single. Now he’s trying for the double. Schilling gets the single leg takedown, but Holloway gets up. Holloway throws a kick to the body. Holloway lands a nice right. Holloway with a right to the body. Holloway just misses with an uppercut while Schilling shoots and misses. Holloway lets him stand. Holloway with a nice left front kick. Schilling throws a punch that has Holloway grabbing his eye.  [[MORE]]

Schilling throws a spinning back slap, but doesn’t close his hand into a fist. Holloway lands a ton of shots to Schilling’s body and face. He is getting picked apart on the feet. Holloway lands a nice left and a right kick. Schilling swarms throwing punches and Holloway backs off. He comes forward with a straight right and a bodyshot on Schilling. Schilling looks like he is hurting. Holloway lands a nice right kick to the head. Schilling goes for a knee bar as the round ends, but doesn’t get it.

Round 2: Holloway lands a big right. Schilling trying to take down Holloway. Schilling really has no chance on the feet unless one of his wild punches lands. Holloway lands another pair of punches. Nice pair of hooks by Holloway. Schilling is taking a lot of punishment. Holloway has Schilling against the cage and is teeing off. Schilling has quite the chin. He just ate a a few punches and a knee to the face.

Holloway is stalking Schilling around the octagon, lighting up his body. Schilling looks like he wants to get out of there. Schilling shoots, but he’s lying on the ground holding his gut. Schilling is getting up slowly. Holloway kicks, Schilling grabs a leg and Holloway is out. He lets Schilling stand. Schilling is just covering up against the cage. Holloway has his range perfect and Schilling can’t do anything on the feet.

Holloway lands a right hook, Schilling whiffs on an uppercut. Schilling throws another open-handed spinning back fist, which lands, but doesn’t do any damage. Holloway looks startled. Holloway lands another big hook and looks to finish an injured Schilling on the ground, but he’s unable to as the round ends.

Round 3: Holloway is very active and lands a ton of jabs to start. He rips a body kick. Schilling landed a right there, but punching is not going to win him this fight. Holloway is putting a beating on him. Schilling shoots and Holloway stuffs it. Schilling throws a ghetto spinning backfist and Holloway punishes him for it. Schilling is still coming forward. Holloway with another body shot.

It’s going to be hard to win the kick knockout bonus after that Lawrence beauty in the last fight, but you can’t say that Holloway isn’t trying. He’s continuing to tee off on Schilling. Holloway lands a big right behind Schilling’s ear and Schilling goes down. Holloway lets him stand. Another bodyshot-left hand combination. Holloway tried a kick off the cage against his dazed opponent, but gives up on the fancy stuff and goes back to punching.

Judges score it 30-27 for Holloway.
