Marcus LeVesseur vs Abel Trujillo

Lot of stupid tats all around in this fight. Marcus LeVesseur has a bald spot on top of his head like Sheed. LeVesseur was undefeated in four years of Division 3 college wrestling. Abel Trujillo was supposed to fight Tim Means, who had a sauna-related injury while cutting weight. They’re saying he slipped or fainted or some shit like that. LeVesseur was supposed to fight Michael Chiesa, but Chiesa got ill, so now these two are fighting on short notice. Live updates after the jump:[[MORE]]
Round 1: Leg kick from Marcus. Marcus shoots a massive double and drags Trujillo to the ground. Trujillo fights back up, but Marcus is still on him.Trujillo is able to get on his feet. Trujillo is landing more shots while Marcus is trying to shoot the single. Trujillo throwing knees. The ref breaks them up. Abel looks like he landed a right, but Marcus is shooting again and gets a takedown against the cage. Trujillo is able to get up.
Marcus lands a knee. They’re just tied up against the cage and the crowd is booing, but Trujillo is landing a lot of elbows to the body while Marcus looks for the takedown. Abel is landing some shots to the back of the head, but the ref doesn’t give a fuck. Abel looks like he’s going for a kimura if Marcus gets the takedown. The ref splits them up. Marcus shoots again and eats a knee. Marcus turtles up and is just holding onto a leg for dear life. He’s hurt badly.
Round 2: Marcus’ face is fucked. He needs to either complete his shots or do something else, because he’s getting murdered when he shoots and holds on. Trujillo catches a kick and gets a takedown of his own; he goes for a guillotine to North-South choke and LeVesseur is thinking about tapping, but Marcus rolls out of it. Marcus stands up and lands a knee.
Abel’s back on the cage; he rocks Marcus, who goes down awkwardly. Marcus gets his wits about him and closes his guard around Trujillo. Trujillo is landing some huge shots and Marcus gives up his back. Trujillo is dropping bombs. Marcus works to his feet and looks at the clock. The fighters break. Trujillo lands a right.
Trujillo punches and Marcus shoots. Trujillo stuffs it and gets back against the cage. Marcus is trying for the takedown, but Trujillo gets around him and lands knees to the body as Marcus turtles up. Marcus is taking a beating and just covering up, as Abel turns his insides to mush with giant knees. The ref stops the fight. Not sure if it was a verbal tap or if he’s just seen enough, but that was a good stoppage. Marcus wasn’t defending for shit.Great debut for Trujillo.
