Liveblog: Diego Sanchez vs. Martin Kampmann

Missed the last fight to write a contract for the Chinese, sorry brahs, but we gotta pay the bills.

Kampmann is sick, having just come off a tough split decision to Scott Shields, who got a title shot. Diego is batshit crazy and is not going to stop punching.

Diego comes in to La Bamba and looks fat. Kampmann has a pointy head. Diego apparently changed his nickname to “The Dream” but he should have changed it to “bitchtits.” Trademark insane stare from Diego, Kampmann looks bored.

Round 1- Kampmann looks tentative to start. Same for Diego, who I expected to come flying out of his corner.

Kampmann rocks Digo who walks into a short left. Kampmann catches his head and lands a knee. Diego goes for the single and can’t take Kampmann down. Diego drops down for the single leg and eats another knee.

Kampmann is punching Diego in the face whenever he wants and stuffing all of his takedown attempts. The Danish Thai Boxing Champion is looking sharp as usual.  I’d say Kampmann has hit Diego in the mouth twenty times so far.

Diego tries another takedown and it is stuffed. Diego is getting massacred in every exchange. He needs to try something new.

10-9, almost 10-8 Kampmann 

Round 2- Diego goes for the single leg and is stuffed. Kampmann has great balance, but he’s also way stronger than Diego. Even if they weigh the same in the ring, Kampmann is lean and Diego is carrying ten pounds of fat between his midsection and manly b-cups.

Kampmann still looks bored. Stuffs another takedown attempt. I think Kampmann has stuffed a dozen takedowns so far. Diego comes in slugging and finally lands a few shots. Kampmann is cut over his eye.

Kampmann hits Diego with another straight right and shoots for the single leg and is stuffed. Wild kick by Diego misses by a foot. Kampmann’s cut looks to have closed already. Kampmann has hit Diego in the mouth so many times it’s disgusting. I don’t know how he’s still standing. Wild flurry at the end and he caught Kampmann again.

10-9 Kampmann. Diego landed two or three power shots and I am worried that one of the asshole judges might have given him the round, but if Kampmann can last the third round, he should win the fight.

Round 3- Kampmann wins all the short exchanges. He just needs to keep his back off the cage. Diego goes for the single leg. Eats a knee for his trouble.

Diego comes at Kampmann who circles away while landing a few more shots.  Kampmann with another straight right and Diego shoots and is stuffed. Diego connects with a left hook, but Kampmann steps back and comes back with a straight right.

Diego finally gets a takedown and Kampmann stands up easily. Diego has to give up on his wrestling. He just isn’t strong enough to pull it off at this weight.

Kampmann lands a vicous knee. Diego going for broke. Looks like Kampmann broke his hand. He’s shaking it. Diego’s face is a mess. Kampmann is landing lefts now and circling away.

29-28 Diego Sanchez.  Oh My God. 

That’s the worst decision I have ever seen.  What did he get points for? Fucking standing up? I do not understand how anyone could possibly score 1 and 3 for Sanchez. Dana White is giving Kampmann a win bonus. I guarantee it.

This has got to stop. Look at his face. Fire all three judges.

Kampmann says he thinks he won the fight. This is so awful. That decision makes me sick. I can’t wait to see the metrics on this fight. Disgusting.
