Kid Yamamoto vs Vaughn Lee

Ms. Octagon has a hearty chuckle after seeing Vaughn Lee’s heart thing he does with his hands. Classic clash of styles: Kid Yamamoto is a striker, whereas Lee is slick on the ground.

Round 1-One minute passes with no strikes thrown. Kid throws a right. Kid lands a left. The fighters tie up.  Kid throws him off and throws a kick.  Kid throws a right hook and slips.  Lee grabs him, but doesn’t do anything with it. Kid lands a right and Lee is hurt.  Kid is looking to finish it and these small guys can just fucking punch all night.  Throws a flurry, but Vaughn defends and is able to get away.  Vaughn Lee lands a big knee, but it looks like Kid landed a right at the same time.  Yamamoto throws a nice uppercut.  Vaughn Lee throws a nice combination and Yamamoto is hurt, wobbling bad.  Kid gets the takedown, but Lee locks up a nice triangle.  Switches it to an armbar perfectly and Kid taps.

Wow.  Great submission for the Brit.  Japanese have lost two fights out of three so far, but the first was undeserved.  As far as Stiff Jab is concerned, the Japanese have won 2 of 3.

The Japanese translator has a festive pen with a rainbow pompom on top of it.  She is taking notes while translating.
