Daley isn’t doing anything. Postures up and might have landed a shot or two as the round ends.
Round 2- Misaki is looking more effective in the striking, but Daley is always able to land a big shot. Misaki is also not doing a lot of damage from the top. Ref stands them up. Sort of unfair that he let Daley sit on top without doing any damage for so long and then standing them up immediately when Misaki got on top.
That was a close round because Daley was on the top for a while, but I don’t think Daley did any damage so I’m scoring it 10-9 for Misaki.
Round 3- Daley with the leg kick. Misaki thows a better kick back. Paul Daley lands a jab. Misaki strikes and Daley gets the takedown. Daley isn’t doing shit. Misaki has a bad cut. Misaki is trying to finish this, Daley is sucking wind and looking at the clock. Daley goes for the takedown and it is stuffed. Misaki’s nose is crushed and he is cut, but I think he won that round with the better strikes.
I’m scoring it 30-27 Misaki
Judges score it 30-27 Misaki 29-28 Daley and 29-28 for Misaki by split decision. Disparate scores, but two of those rounds were pretty close if you really like top control without doing any damage more than effective striking. Paul Daley probably should be dropped, but he English and Dana lets them hang around longer so he can sell fights in the UK.
