Joseph Benavidez vs. Yasuhiro Urushitani

Another 125 lb fight in the flyweight semifinal.

Round 1- fighters throw strikes while standing very far away from each other, both missing on a few strikes.  Lots of whiffed kicks.  Benavidez takes a leg kick and lands two light rights.  Benavidez is coming forward throwing kicks, which are blocked.  Benavidez pushes Yasuhiro against the cageBenavidez goes for a shoulder throw and lands a knee.  Benavidez with a kick.  Benavidez is working the single leg, but Yasuhiro is defending nicely.  Benavidez keeps working and gets the takedown and is in the half guard with 1:22  remaining.  Yasuhiro is rolling , but Benavidez passes and to side control, to half guard to full mount, has Yasuhiro’s back with a body triangle locked in.  Benavidez sinks in the rear naked and has it to far up on the chin to finish him as the round ends.

Round 2- Benavidez lands a huge overhand right as the round starts and Yasuhiro goes down.  Benavidez follows him to the ground and lands a few more shots as the ref ends it.
