John Cofer vs Justin Lawrence

Thank god we’re finally at the HD portion of the programming. Congress should just make a law that everyone needs to get on board with HDTV. QE3 should involve buying flatscreens for everyone. Too bad there is no American manufacturer to buy them from or Brobama could hook up everyone with the opiate of the masses.
Did you know the Japanese government had massive 3D television subsidies? I think this is true, but I could be making it up. We should get on that shit anyway. Then I wouldn’t have to put up with this blurry, sub-Facebook quality bullshit feed on FuelTV. Live updates after the jump:[[MORE]]
Round 1: Justin Lawrence throws a kick, John Cofer avoids it and gets the takedown. Lawrence tries to walk back to the wall. Lawrence gets up. Cofer kicks and gets taken down. Lawrence kicks Cofer in the butt and then lets him stand. Cofer lands a left, comes forward with a combination and lands another shot. Cofer lands a left. Lawrence lands a big punch. Lawrence swarms and lands two punches. Left hook for Lawrence. Lawrence lands a glancing flying knee that doesn’t do much damage.
10-9 Lawrence.
Round 2: Lawrence lands a two punch-kick combo and a weak high kick. Cofer landed a nice left there. Cofer landed another one. Lawrence lands two. Lawrence is landing the best shots, a lot of punches finding home now. Very nice striking so far. Cofer is getting picked apart. The significant strikes are in Cofer’s favor according to the numbers, but that figure isn’t telling the whole tale.
Lawrence goes for a spinning kick of some sort and Cofer gets the takedown. He gets Lawrence’s back, but is way too high up and Lawrence gets out of it. Justin is on top. Lawrence stands up and looks like he is catching his breath, but then falls back into Cofer’s guard punching as the round ends.
10-9 Lawrence.
Round 3: Lawrence fakes a left kick, throws two punches that miss, and lands a flawless right head kick to Cofer’s jaw as he circles away. That was so pretty I shouted at the TV. And I’m not a shouty guy. Lawrence knows Cofer is out and just sort of walks slowly forward. Ref Herb Dean agrees and pushes Lawrence away before he can get anywhere near the unconscious Cofer. And the fight is over.

Jeez. Is there anything in sports more satisfying than a head kick knockout? Lawrence thanks the lord Jesus Christ for that dope headkick. Jesus, lamb of God, hooking up head kick victories for the true believers.
