Find Real Boxing Gyms on Foursquare

One of the reasons I founded Stiff Jab was to use social media and the Web to connect the broader public with the fight world. After training myself for the better part of the past year I’m now fully convinced there is no better way to immerse yourself in boxing than learning to fight. Which is why I’m happy to unveil a new Foursquare list that should eventually provide followers with a comprehensive list of places where they too can learn the Sweet Science.

While any amount of instruction is a positive step, I highly recommend spending time in a gym that trains real amateur fighters if you truly want to understand what goes into the sport. That’s why our list is going to focus on places that turn out the type of boxers we cover at amateur and professional tournaments. That’s not to denigrate any other establishments, just to ensure that we’re pointing our readers toward places have proven their ability to impart the art of self-defense.
