Dong Hyun Kim vs Siyar Bahadurzada

I was going to write up the undercard, but it was long, not too exciting, and by the time it was over, I didn’t really remember too much from the fights. Don Hyun Kim vs. Siyar Bahadurzada is first up on Fuel TV. Live updates aft the jump: [[MORE]]
Round 1: Kim kicks. Kim tries to grab on, but Siyar throws him off. Head kick from Kim blocked. Siyar is just measuring with the left to throw the right. Kim lands a kick and falls down, but pops up. Kim shoots, Siyar sprawls. Two lefts from Kim find home. Kim gets a single and drags Siyar to the ground. Kim has a full mount with 2.5 minutes left. Siyar is holding Kim down, while Kim lands short punches to the forehead. The ref tells Kim to work while he is punching from the full mount. If he stands him up from a full guard, I’m going to be pissed. Maybe he is telling Siyar to work because he’s just taking nonstop elbows to the head. They don’t look like they hurt though so I don’t see why Siyar can’t just take them. Kim lands a big elbow and is now on Siyar’s back. Has a tight bodylock on the standing Siyar. Siyar falls down and the round ends.
Round 2: Crazy hematoma on Kim’s head. Siyar pumping the jab, just measuring distance. siyar comes forward flailing. Head kick from Kim. Kim shoots, Siyar sprawls. Siyar throws a big hook and Kim ducks under it and gets a takedown to side control. Kim landing slaps to the had and looks to mount. Fighters go to north south position and Kim jumps on the back of the turtled Siyar. Siyar turns around and Kim is now fully mounted again with a minute forty five left. Nice elbows from Kim while postured up. Siyar is just holding on and taking shots to the head. Kim went for the two handed hammerfist. The dumbest punch in sports. Kim is postured up and landing punches.
Round 3: Siyar needs a knockout to win. Kim throws a jump kick, shoots and gets a takedown; he is in side control again. Full mount with four minutes left. Looking for a head and arm choke. He’s holding it with one hand and Siyar arleady looks terrified. Kim locks his hands and moves to the side and lands some knees to the body. The choke is looking pretty fucking tight. Kim working the body. Tries the choke again. Works the body. Tries the choke. Two minutes left. Working the body. Kim is posturing up and landing some nice punches and elbows. Kim taunts Siyar into throwing punches and then when he does, Kim returns fire with huge elbows. Kim is really showboating.
30-27 on all cards for Kim, who wins by unanimous decision.
