Cub Swanson vs. Ross Pearson

Ross Pearson better hope Guy Ritchie’s still making films when he retires.  Ross is a gigantic featherweight.  He must cut a ton of weight. Live updates after the jump:

Round 1- Fighters are keeping it on the feet so far and Swanson is landing better strikes.  Pearson works a takedown off a Swanson puch, but Swanson is able to get up and land some knees to Pearson’s head.  Pearson throws a big head kick.  Swanson lands a huge right that knocks Pearson down, but Pearson pops back up.  Swanson lands a slick elbow from the standing position.  Pearson lands a body shot.  Cub thows a really funky kick to the neck and Pearson gets Swanson down and is landing strikes from the top position.  Swanson is able to stand.  Swanson throws another ridiculous roundhous that misses.  Ross lands two short punches.  Ross with the body kick.  Swanson with the jab.  Swanson lands a left hook.  Pearson works the takedown.  Swanson stuffs it.  Ross lands another right.  Ross throws a leg kick that is blocked.  Cub lands a right.

Round 2- Fighters exchange leg kicks.  Cub lands a left jab.  Cub lands a right.  Cub thows a roundhouse to a hook puch combo.  ross is cut.  Ross is working the takedown, Swanson pops up and Ross takes him down again.  Swanson is standing and is able to get up.  Cub with a right.  Ross lands a nice right uppercut.  Cub is landing the cleaner punches though and comes forward with a right.  ross is landing now as well.  Swanson throws a flying knee and Ross catches it and puts him on his back.  Ross lands a nice elbow from the top and is posturing up and throwing punches and elbows.  Ross is beating Cub up and lands a duo of punches to the body.  Cub is able to get up again.  Cub throws a kick that Ross catches, but Cub lands another punch and Ross comes forward.  Cub lands two more while backpedaling and Pearson is out.  Yves Lavigne stops it.

Yet another counterexample for those who say Greg Jackson’s guys don’t end fights. Cub was swinging for the fences.
