Court McGee vs Josh Neer

This fight has no business on a Pay Per View. Jon Fitch has no job with the UFC and these two guys, who are in the same weight class, are on a PPV card. There is no justice. Live updates after the jump:[[MORE]]

Round 1: Josh Neer lands the first good punch of the fight with a right hand. Terrible ink on Neer. Court McGee lands a right. McGee is scoring with the jab. Neer lands a right. McGee lands a left and Neer is staggered. Neer lands a leg kick. Neer has no defense whatsoever. McGee is teeing off on him. McGee lands a kick to the body; Neer is doubled over and McGee keeps hitting him as he goes to the ground. Court locks in a rear naked as the round ends.

10-9 McGee. Neer just walks forward and looks for the knockout. His corner is telling him to move his head.

Round 2: McGee throwing a ton of kicks. He lands one to the leg then another to the body. McGee catches a kick and pops Neer. The fighters are clinched and Neer lands an uppercut to the beard. Court lands a few more punches. McGee still picking away while Neer swings for the fences. Neer lands a bunch of jabs. Neer lands an uppercut. Neer grabs McGee and lands two knees.

McGee is getting taken apart in the clinch. Neer is starting to pick up the pace. McGee lands a shot to the body. Neer headhunting again, whiffs on a big uppercut. Neer lands a left hook, but Court McGee throws a few punches. Neer lands a left hook. McGee is landing, but doesn’t have a lot of pop in his punches. Neer lands a knee. Spin kick by McGee, Neer looks at him disdainfully.

Round 3: McGee looks like he’s not really committing to his punches. They’re not doing a lot of damage. McGee gets a hold of Neer and pushes him against the cage. McGee lands a bunch of weak punches and knees. McGee shoots and gets a takedown. Neer is tired, but works back to his feet. Court dumps Neer on the ground again.  McGee continues to pop Neer on the ground, jumps on his back, and tries for a choke with 45 seconds left. He lets it go and continues to tee off on Neer.

I scored it 30-27 for McGee. Neer looked awful and really didn’t bring much to the table.

Judges agree, score it 30-27 for McGee.
