Clay Guida vs Hatsu Hioki

Round 1: Clay Guida has a pornstar moustache. Guida jumping around and throwing leg kicks. Jab by Guida. guida got hit with a bodyshot coming in. Hioki working the body. Hioki punches and Guida ducks under it. Clay just got caught coming in. Hioki looking good. Looks like the strategy is to hit the body rather than the head, which moves wildly. Takedwon stuffed by Hioki. Hioki grabs a hold o fguida and lands a knee. Guida lnds a right. Hioki lands a head kick. Guida landsa hook and gets a takedown, but Hioki is slick on the ground. Hioki looks for the triangle, but Guida shoves him against the cage. Hioki gets up and has a hold of Guida’s head and is landing knees. Hioki landing a jab. Guida shoots, but it is stuffed. [[MORE]]

Round 2- Left by Guida landed. Leg kick by guida landed. Hioki lands a jab. Guida landed a big leg kick, which wobbled Hioki. Clay shoots, picks up Hioki carries him to the center of the Octagon and drops him on his head. Massive Guida chant. Hioki has an arm and is going for a kimura, now trying to lock in a triangle. Clay slams out of it and is still on top. Clay is relentlessly trying to pass, but not getting much done. Ref stands them up with 37 seconds left. Hioki lands a kick. Hioki lands a jab. Hioki with a head kick.

Round 3- Guida shoots and gets another takedown. Hioki locks in a tight trinagle, but Guida slams out of it. Hioki going for another triangle and landing elbows from the bottom. Guida is bleeding on Hioki. Hioki is working over to the side of the cage and is sitting up. Guida isn’t getting much done on top. Hioki working back to his feet, but Guida knees him in the stomach and he sits back down. Hioki is trying to slid out of Guida’s grip with one minute left. Ref finally stands them up, again with 37 seconds left. Hioki lands a kick. Fighters tie up and the round ends.

I’ve got it 29-28 Guida, tought fight to score as Guida didn’t do a ton of damage, but he was on top for almost two full rounds. 29-28 Hioki 30-27 Guida and 29-28 Guida. Guida by top control
