Bills Would Create A National Boxing Commission
WASHINGTON, D.C.–Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., and Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., introduced a bill on Monday that would create a national boxing commission to oversee the sport at the federal level. They were joined on Tuesday by Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., who introduced a House version of the legislation with co-sponsor Rep. Gregory Meeks, D-N.Y., according to the day job.
