Antonio Silva vs Travis Browne

Neither of these fighters are very good, but they’re both really big. Hopefully we’ll get a knockout after that last snoozefest.

Round 1: Travis Browne throws a big punch that is blocked, then a silly spinning kick. Browne eats a right from Antonio Silva. Browne throws another silly kick and misses by a mile. Bigfoot Silva is all business with regular punches. Silva throws a leg kick. Browne is throwing push kicks. Brown throws a nice right hook, but Silva blocks it.

Silva throws a kick. Silva throws a right and then initiates a clinch against the cage. Foot stomps from the large-headed Silva. Silva has some nice Shane Battier-style head wrinkles going. Never noticed that before, but I guess it’s not the sort of thing you just develop. Browne grabs the fence illegally, referee Herb Dean yells at him for it and points at him as well.

Browne gets a clinch going, but can’t get anything done. Brown’s leg is fucked up. Push kick to the gut from Silva. Browne eats a big right from Silva. Silva lands a leg kick. Silva lands a massive right and goes to the ground; Silva lands a few more shots before Herb Dean ends it. Brown tries to get up, goes all flippy-floppy and falls back down.
