Andre Ward vs Carl Froch set for December 17

The finals of Showtime’s Super Six super middleweight tournament between Andre Ward and Carl Froch will now take place on December 17th. The fight will still take place at Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall, but has been delayed by over six weeks thanks to a cut sustained by Ward in training (below).

All tickets for the original October 29th date will be honored but refunds are available for those unable to attend. Froch was less than pleased when the delay was announced but at least he won’t have to wait too long before getting his crack at the “Son of God.” Froch and Ward have been easily the most impressive fighters in the ever-changing field. When they finally get into the ring it promises to be a boxing exhibition by two well-schooled champions.
