Alexis Davis vs Amanda Nunes

Round 1-Fighters don’t touch gloves and come out swinging wildly. Nunes is landing a ton of shots on the Canuck. Nunes gets a takedown, which does not seem wise as she was looking better on the feet. Then again, Brazilians generally know their way around on the ground so she might be fine.

Nunes has good control from the side and is able to posture up and land hammerfists to Davis’ corn-rowed head. Davis is able to stand up and the ladies exchange again. Not trying to shoot though. 10-9 Nunes.

Round 2-Fighters decide to touch gloves and start exchanging again. Davis jumps up on Nunes’ back and tries to sink a triangle. Nunes stands up easily. The fighters tie up and boredom ensues. No one is doing any damage. The ref, who looks a lot like Ace Franklin, splits the ladies up. They exchange and then Davis ties Nunes up and pushes her against the cage.

Nunes lands a nice Judo throw, but Davis rolls over on top. Davis smells blood and tries to swarm Nunes, securing a full mount and Nunes gives up her back, with 1:38 left. Nunes is in a lot of trouble and Davis lands a ton of punches from the back that are unanswered as the ref stops it. Nice finish.
